Dr. Joel B. Shields has been providing outstanding pediatric dental care since 1981. He received his undergraduate education at Texas A & M University and his dental education at Baylor College of Dentistry. Post-graduate residencies at the University of Nebraska Medical Center allowed him to develop greater expertise in pediatric dental treatment. Annually attending continuing education courses enables Dr. Shields to stay at the forefront of his specialty so that he can provide optimal care to his patients. This allows Dr. Shields to offer his patients the best pediatric dental care. He regularly attends courses so that the most current treatment options are available to his patients.

Dr. Shields is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Texas Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Southwest Society of Pediatric Dentistry, Dallas County Dental Society, the American Society of Dentistry for Children, the Garland Dental Study Club, and staff at Children’s Medical Center of Dallas. He is a Board Certified Diplomat and Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.

Dr. Shields resides in Dallas with his wife Regina.
